STEM Expo

The Irly Bird STEM Expo is a “one-day” program to expose students to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) using hands-on activities. The main objective is to expose and engage students to STEM concepts while they interact with current and future STEM career professionals.
STEM Mobile Lab
STEM LAB & TENT
-
Oceanography
-
Solar system
-
Engineering (CAD, Robot building)
-
Flight simulator
These mobile science labs are STEM showpieces. Groups of elementary students experience a “hands-on” science lab right outside their classroom. Science professionals and volunteers lead group experiments that teach robot making, coding concepts, age-appropriate chemistry experiments, oceanography and other science-based modules. Students rotate through these mobile labs throughout the school day. Lessons can be tailored for specific science curriculums as well!

The EverBlock Building experience fosters a play and learn environment that keeps kids engaged, while teaching basic STEM principles relative to design and structural engineering.
Studies reveal that students exposed to STEM at an early age perform better in science and math. The Irly Bird EverBlock Building experience offers a high-quality, early-learning STEM environment that fosters a life-long interest in science.
